Te

Te has the amazing ability to write tense situations and harsh emotions without slipping into melodrama, or losing the reader in a forest of detail. Her writing is tightly honed and sharp, and an absolute joy to read. I only wish that the actors could read this stuff - they'd relish the opportunies that lie here.

The Debts series is an unflinching look at the Buffy/Faith dynamic. It's not really a shipper story, but more of a look at how tiny mistakes can escalate into horrific situations where there is no easy way out and no redemption. It starts with the ending scene of "Bad Girls" and takes off into areas where Joss fears to tread. Twisting and turning, you're taken on a scary ride that just doesn't end. And when it finally does, it's too soon.

I've read this series over and over and over. It's one of my absolute favorites, and should be read by everyone.
