This is my wish page.
Fanfic that I really really really wish I could archive, but I don't have permission for, mostly because I haven't heard back from the authors, and they don't have a general "take it" permission attached to the story. So, you get a title, author, and where to find it, but NO LINKS. The webpages are all probably on Sonja Marie's site, so you can check there. If you can't find it, write me, and I'll send you the URL. I'm all about promoting others, you know. That's the point of this site, right?
"Southern Exposure" by Jules
I'm all about Spike and Buffy these days. It sucks. So I find this link on
Sonja Marie's site called Southern Exposure. Yippee! What a beautifully written piece
- filled with haunting imagery, literary quotations that actually fit in with the
story, way above par writing, everything I'm looking for. Except, it's not finished. Darn.
So, to summarize. Buffy is packing for her trip to LA to spend the summer with her father (who?) when she hears a soft voice whispering poetry. It's not Angel, as she first expected. "Southern Exposure" is the chronicle of her journey to find whomever it is that is speaking to her. In the meantime, Spike is having some revelations of his own.
This is, perhaps, the crappiest blurb I've ever written. Forgive me, and go read the story anyway. The link is on Sonja Marie's site, and if you don't know where THAT is, you are lost indeed.
"Living on Dark Street" by Kyuuketsuki-Ouji Spike
So much can be said in a few paragraphs. With carefully chosen phrases, you
can show how love and despair go hand-in-hand, how you can be with the one you
love, and still be deeply unhappy. Spike is in a contemplative mood, which leads
him to commit one shocking sudden act. Gorgeous.
Also by this author (and found at the same place) is "Horobite Iku Minzoku" which translates to "The Lost Race". I love this story for the imagery, the lyrical grace with which it is written, and the kick-ass final line. I'm not sayin' any more, just go read it. You can find KOS' fiction at Spike's Haven, which is linked at Addictive Stigmata.
