Melpomene
Melpomene is marvelous (and alliterative). Her stories are brief vignettes that toss youn into the middle of the story and dare you to find your way out. She writes some truly great Willow/Spike (a 'ship which completely escapes me), and seems to have recently discovered the joy that is Wesley. "Body Art" is a Wesley and Faith story set sometime after the events of "Five by Five" and "Sanctuary". Mel's notes after the story are perfect, and I resisted the urge to just plop them here instead of writing something. But how I wanted to.
This story made me think of tattoos and of piercings. How they hurt at first, but then there's this part of you that will never be the same. It's marked. You're marked. And, in a way, you're now art.
