LindaMarie
This is one of those stories that you start reading thinking "Oh, I know this one, I can figure it out." Then, slowly, you get the feeling that something is a little off; there's a niggling worry in the back of your mind. And then... pow. LindaMarie gets you with an ending that is shocking, surprising, and somehow completely in character.
It's a Giles story, set after "The Gift". LindaMarie gives each paragraph and each sentence a sense of forboding melancholy. This isn't the happy librarian, or the disenchanted Watcher. This Giles is a man who has lost everything.
