Immicolia
Who doesn't love Jonathan? The nebbish little guy, he who is picked on, ignored, used as the butt of many a joke, he who tried to kill himself in a bell-tower with a gun that was obviously too big for the job, he who is so insecure and self-hating that he enspelled an entire town (world, even) into a fantasy world where he was perfect. He who couldn't pull it off. Ever.
It is a credit to Joss Whedon and his staff of writers that even such a marginal character as Jonathan is well-rounded, layered, and infinitely interesting. And it is a credit to Immicolia that she looks beyond the few scenes (and one episode) that Jonathan has, and finds therein a wellspring of inspiration.
Jonathan's crush on Buffy was painful, horribly evident, and poignant. Immicolia sits back, and lets Jonathan talk. And through this story, he finally finds an audience in us.
