A. C. Chapin

It's hard being an archive owner. You read a lot of fanfiction, looking for just the type of story that will fit your site. And, inevitably, in the back of your mind, you start forming... well, prejudices, I guess. "I don't like Ripper stories, so none of those on my site. I don't like alternative universes, so they're out."

Then you read a story that takes those "rules" and throws them out the window. A story that is so well written that you can't help but love it.

The following tale shows Buffy and Giles from an outsider's point of view - but this person has a particularly close relationship with our heroes. A. C. Chapin takes a standard fanfic convention and puts a new, non-mushy spin on it, with delightful results.

I may have to revise my opinions. Darnit.
